TIP 1 – HOW do you MAKE A SPECTACLE CORD or chain HOLD ONTO THIN TEMPLES (ARMS)?
If you have ever suffered from a spectacle cord or chain slipping off the temples. Then this simple method will solve your problem.
Instead of slipping the o-ring onto the temple normally (once thru the silicone o-ring and then tighten the adjuster). Start like normal once thru the silicone o-ring but don’t push it all the way on. Instead now slip the temple tip back thru the silicone o-ring above the adjuster. Then continue to slide the o-ring to the desired position on the temple. As per the photo. You now have twice the gripping power.
Even on this very thin (1.6 mm diameter) shiny metal temple there is certainly no slip. WOW! GOOD TO KNOW. Brilliant tips & easy tricks.

TIP 2 – HOW do you easily clean your SPECTACLEs and make them look like new?
At least once a week you should give your spectacles a bath in luke warm soapy water. For at least 30 seconds to a minute. This will also remove grease, dirt and germs (flu, COVID, etc. etc.) Then rinse them in clean water. And wipe them dry with a soft lint free cloth.
Not only will your spectacles look like new. That spectacle cord or chain that was slipping can now grip on to a clean, grease-free temple. NICE.

tip 3 – How to do a little spectacle maintenance?
If you wear spectacles or sunglasses then you really should do a little maintenance. It is easy if you have the correct tools.
All you need is a small optical screwdriver that matches the screws on your frame – (hinge and nose pads). Then you can tighten a loose screw before it falls out. GREAT IDEA.
TIP 4 – how do you prevent your spectacles or polarized sunglasses from sinking when fishing?
Simply add one of our floating spectacle cords. Then if they do fall in just crab the landing net and pull them back out. Catastrophe averted. And a great day fishing continues. Good luck.

TIP 5 – do you have problems with your lenses fogging up while trying to shave or put makeup on?
After cleaning and drying your spectacles as per tip 2 above. Wipe a dry plain soap bar (sunlight or similar) on both sides of the lenses. Two or three small wipes with the soap on both sides is plenty. Then with a clean dry cloth wipe the lens all over until it is shiny clean. No more foggy lenses even if you open the lid on a boiling pot. Tip. You can also do this to your ski googles. Fabulous idea.
TIP 6 – how do you stop your glasses from moving around while playing sports?
It certainly can be very frustrating when your spectacles move around when playing sport. But luckily there is a simple fix to this problem. Just with the addition of soft silicone earlocks that slide on to the ends of the temples (arms). These little wonders are extremely comfortable and stop all movement of your glasses. TIP 7 – do you suffer from dry eye and how do you stop this problem?
The number one cause of this often painful complaint certainly is starring at a flat screen without blinking.
Normally we see objects at different distances. When the eye focuses on those objects, there is an auto blinking response. This response wipes a tear over the eye, keeping it moist. But when starring at a flat screen that auto blinking response is not triggered and the eye surface drys. (There is normally a small amount of oil within every tear drop. And by not blinking that oil builds up. And then blocks the tear duct). The easy solution to fixing this problem is to remember to blink often. Even better, occasionally look into the distance. This action helps relieve the ciliary muscle from being locked in one position.

TIP 7 – Why do the rubber ends on my cords or chains easily break?
This is a very common problem when you buy inferior quality items. Most cheap accessories use o-rings made from rubber. Unfortunately rubber does dry out after a short time and then it cracks and breaks. Instead we suggest you only use silicone rubber ends. They will last for many more years. The cost will only increase slightly. This will save you money and also time. Note: you can even buy replacement silicone ends from this website. TIP 8 – how do I change the silicone ends?
To do this easily you certainly will need two small pliers. The majority of cords and chains will have a small split ring holding the ends on. (Do not try to pull the split apart). Instead, with one pair of pliers grab one half of the slit ring. Then grab the other half of the split ring with the other pliers. Make sure that the split is between the two pair of pliers. Now simply twist the pliers in opposite directions. Just enough so you can remove the old ends and replace the new ends. Then in reverse twist the split ring to close the gap back together.
TIP 8 – how do I prevent And fix a stye on the eyelid?
Firstly what is a stye? A stye is a small, red, and sometimes painful lump on the edge of the eyelid. Usually in the oil-tear gland. Normally caused by a bacterial infection. Prevention is easy. Dirty little fingers are the main cause. So, keep them away from the eye. Using an eye wash glass filled with warm salty water twice a day. To rinse the eye quickly fixes the problem.
